Working Principle:
The VSI Centrifugal Impact Crusher crushes material by utilizing the high-speed impact and friction between the material particles themselves. The centrifugal impact crusher can not only crush rock but also shape it. Depending on the material’s feeding method, the working form of the centrifugal impact crusher can be divided into full central feeding and central feeding with cascade material (waterfall feeding). Based on the material’s compressive strength and abrasiveness, the working form of the centrifugal impact crusher can be categorized into two crushing methods: “rock-on-rock” and “rock-on-iron”. Therefore, the crusher’s operation can be divided into four forms: central feeding with cascade material “rock-on-rock” and “rock-on-iron,” and full central feeding “rock-on-rock” and “rock-on-iron.”
Material enters the crusher through the feed hopper, falls onto the scatter cone, and is divided into two parts by the distributor plate. One part enters the high-speed rotating impeller through the center of the distributor plate, is rapidly accelerated within the impeller, and is then ejected at high speed from the impeller flow channels. It first impacts and crushes the other portion of the material falling around the periphery of the distributor plate. The two parts then impact the material liner in the crushing chamber together, are rebounded, and obliquely impact the top of the crushing chamber, changing direction to move downward. The material ejected from the impeller flow channels forms a continuous curtain of material. In this way, a single piece of material is crushed through multiple impacts, friction, and grinding actions within the crushing chamber. The crushed material then exits the crushing chamber under gravity and is discharged through the hopper in the lower machine casing.
