Project Introduction:
In 2023, with the accelerated urbanization and comprehensive infrastructure build-out across Southeast Asia, the market demand for construction aggregates remains robust. Against this backdrop, a new client in Vietnam successfully established a 200 metric tons per hour (TPH) granite crushing and manufactured sand production line. Located in a resource-rich and well-connected region of Central or Southern Vietnam, the project leverages abundant local granite mineral resources and utilizes advanced processes and equipment. It is dedicated to producing high-quality manufactured sand and crushed aggregates, meeting the urgent demand for high-standard construction materials within Vietnam and surrounding markets. The successful commissioning of this production line marks a solid step for Vietnam’s aggregate industry towards large-scale, intelligent, and environmentally friendly operations, providing strong material support for local infrastructure development.
Production Line Core Equipment and Process Flow:
This project adopts the mature process route of “Two-Stage Crushing + Multi-Stage Screening + High-Efficiency Washing,” configured with internationally leading crushing and screening equipment to ensure highly efficient and stable system operation and excellent finished product particle shape.
Vibrating Feeder (ZSW Series):
- Responsible for uniformly and continuously feeding large granite raw material to the primary crushing equipment.
- Features a pre-screening function to effectivelyremove soil and fines, protecting subsequent equipment and enhancing overall line efficiency.
Jaw Crusher (SC Series):
- Serves as the Coarse Crushing core, performing high-efficiency crushing on granite with a maximum feed size of up to 800 mm, with the output size controlled between 150-250 mm.
- Offers advantages such as a high crushing ratio, low failure rate, and long service life.
CS Hydraulic Cone Crusher (CS Series):
- The key equipment for Medium-Fine Crushing, performing secondary crushing on material from the jaw crusher.
- Utilizes the laminated crushing principle, making it particularly suitable for high-hardness granite. It produces high-quality aggregates with a rounded particle shape, reasonable gradation, and a flakiness and elongation index below 8%, meeting the material standards for C30 and higher-grade concrete.
Multi-Layer Vibrating Screen (3YK Series):
- Configured with 3 screen decks for precise classification of material from the cone crusher, enabling the simultaneous production of multi-spec aggregates: 0-5 mm (sand-making raw material), 5-10 mm, 10-20 mm, and 20-31.5 mm.
- Unqualified material is returned to the cone crusher, forming a closed-loop system to ensure stable finished product quality.
High-Efficiency Sand Washer (LSX Series):
- Performs deep washing on the manufactured sand (0-5 mm) to remove stone powder, clay, and impurities, improving sand cleanliness (silt content <1%) and the stability of the fineness modulus (2.6-3.0). It fully complies with the national standard for construction sand (GB/T 14684).
System Features:
- Stable Capacity: Designed capacity is 200 TPH, with actual operation reaching 210-220 TPH, yielding an annual aggregate output of approximately 1.5 million tons.
- Intelligent Control: Equipped with a PLC centralized control system for remote monitoring, fault alarms, and data logging, reducing manual intervention and improving management efficiency.
- Environmental Compliance: Supported by a mist spraying dust suppression system, enclosed conveyors, and a wastewater treatment and recycling unit, achieving “near-zero discharge” and complying with Vietnamese environmental regulations.
Positive Impact on Vietnam
- Ensuring Material Supply for Major Infrastructure Projects: Vietnam is vigorously advancing its expressway network (such as the North-South Expressway), new international airports, deep-water ports, and urban renewal projects. The high-quality manufactured sand and crushed stone from this production line can directly serve key projects in the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area and Da Nang economic zone, alleviating the “sand shortage” problem and guaranteeing project progress and quality.
- Driving the Transformation and Upgrade of the Traditional Quarrying Industry: By replacing the past small-scale, scattered, low-efficiency, and high-consumption quarrying model, the project establishes a modern aggregate factory benchmark, guiding the industry toward green mining and intelligent factory operations, and enhancing the overall competitiveness of Vietnam’s construction materials industry.
- Creating Employment and Boosting the Local Economy: The project directly creates 50+ technical and management positions and indirectly drives related service industries such as transportation, maintenance, and power, promoting increased income for local residents and aiding rural revitalization.
- Reducing Natural River Sand Mining and Protecting the Ecosystem: Excessive sand mining has led to ecological degradation and riverbank erosion in many Vietnamese rivers. Manufactured sand substitution for natural sand can effectively alleviate pressure on waterways, protecting water resources and the ecosystem, aligning with sustainable development strategies.
- Enhancing Export Potential and Regional Cooperation Capability: High-quality manufactured sand has export potential and can radiate to neighboring markets like Cambodia and Laos in the future, strengthening Vietnam’s position in the ASEAN infrastructure supply chain and deepening regional economic integration.
