Project Overview
- With the deepening implementation of Cameroon’s “National Development Plan (Vision 2035)”, major infrastructure projects such as the Douala-Yaoundé Economic Corridor, the Kribi Deep Seaport expansion, the Buea Expressway network, and multiple industrial park construction sites have commenced, leading to a surge in demand for high-quality aggregate.
- To meet the stringent performance requirements of high-grade concrete for these large-scale infrastructure and modern building projects, a major local Cameroonian building materials enterprise invested in a 500 tons per hour (TPH) limestone crushing and sand making production line.
- Located in the limestone-rich belt of the West Region of Cameroon, the project employs a sophisticated, three-stage fine crushing process: “Jaw Crusher for Primary Crushing + Cone Crusher for Secondary/Tertiary Crushing + Impact Crusher for Shaping”. A key focus of the design is to ensure the finished aggregate has excellent particle shape (cubical), continuous gradation, and low needle/flaky content.
- Furthermore, the entire production line adheres to the “Green and Environmental Protection” concept, featuring a complete dust removal system and comprehensive anti-dust measures. It is committed to becoming the largest, most technologically advanced, and highest environmental standard modern aggregate production base in the Central African region.
Production Line Core Equipment and Process Flow
To meet the client’s demanding requirements for superior particle shape, continuous gradation, and low dust, the project implements an integrated “Crushing – Shaping – Screening – Purification” design, ensuring high quality and low pollution while maintaining high capacity for green production.
System Characteristics:
- High Capacity: 500 TPH output, with an annual production capacity of up to 3 million tons, meeting the concentrated supply demand of national-level projects.
- High Quality: The three-stage crushing + impact shaping process ensures aggregate with “excellent particle shape and optimal gradation”, significantly boosting concrete strength and durability.
- Green & Eco-Friendly: A complete dust removal and enclosed system achieves “smokeless, dust-free, and zero-waste” green production, complying with international EHS standards.
- Intelligent & Efficient: Features a PLC automatic control system for remote monitoring, stable operation, and easy maintenance.
Positive Impact on Local Cameroon
The project represents a model of sustainable industrial development, delivering broad benefits across the nation.
- 1. Securing Material Supply for Key National Projects The high-quality aggregate produced directly supplies national-level initiatives like the Douala-Nsanakang Expressway, the Yaoundé Urban Light Rail, and the Kribi Special Economic Zone, ensuring construction quality and progress, and directly contributing to the realization of the “Cameroon 2035 Vision”.
- 2. Driving Technological Upgrade in the Building Materials Sector The introduction of internationally advanced crushing, shaping, and environmental technologies breaks the traditional “extensive and high-pollution” quarrying model, setting a modern benchmark for the aggregate industry in the Central African region and leading national industrial transformation.
- 3. Reducing Natural Sand and Gravel Mining, Protecting the Ecosystem Large-scale manufactured sand production effectively replaces natural sand from river basins like the Nyong and Sanaga rivers, curbing illegal mining that causes riverbed damage, water pollution, and ecological degradation, thereby protecting Cameroon’s rich biodiversity.
- 4. Creating Mass Employment and Boosting Economic Development The project directly creates 150+ skilled technical jobs and indirectly stimulates related sectors such as transportation, power, machinery maintenance, and construction, providing stable income for local communities and promoting regional economic prosperity.
- 5. Enhancing Local Construction Quality and Safety High-quality aggregate significantly improves the compressive strength, crack resistance, and durability of concrete, extending building lifespan and reducing safety hazards caused by inferior materials, thus providing a safer living and public environment for the Cameroonian people.
- 6. Establishing a Green Industry Model and Boosting International Image By practicing a green development philosophy, the project aligns with the African “Green Growth” initiative, helping to attract international investment and cooperation, and enhancing Cameroon’s influence in the field of sustainable development across Africa and globally.
