Project Overview
A large thermal power plant in South Korea aimed to enhance the reliability, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency of its coal transportation system by fully renovating its aging belt conveyor production line. This project prioritized customized solutions over standardized designs, tailored to the plant’s spatial constraints, stringent environmental regulations, and uninterrupted operational demands.
Production Line Highlights
The renovation addressed three core challenges: limited space, strict environmental standards, and continuous operation requirements. Our solutions:
- Site-Specific Non-Standard Design
- Challenge: The plant’s intricate layout required conveyor paths to navigate around existing equipment, pipelines, and supports.
- Solution: Engineers conducted on-site surveys and used 3D modeling to optimize routes, incorporating horizontal turns, steep inclines, and space-efficient layouts. Key components (drive stations, tensioners, redirect rollers) were precision-placed to maximize spatial utilization
- Eco-Friendly Performance: Fully Sealed Design
- Challenge: The plant’s location demanded zero dust leakage and minimal material loss.
- Solution: Entire conveyors were enclosed with galvanized steel or aluminum covers and rubber seals. Critical points (transfer stations, feed points) featured double-layer sealing and dust chutes, integrated with the plant’s除尘 system to meet South Korean regulations
Reliability Anchored in GB Standards
- Structural Integrity: Frames complied with GB/T 10595 (Belt Conveyors), ensuring durability under heavy loads
.
- Premium Components: Idlers and rollers exceeded standard performance metrics (e.g., rotational inertia), reducing energy use and downtime
- Safety: Full suite of protections (pull-cord switches, belt misalignment sensors, anti-tear devices) adhered to safety norms
Key Renovations
- Long-Distance Conveyors: Replaced outdated lines with steel-cord belts and variable-frequency drives for smooth, energy-efficient operation (码头-to-coal yard transport)
- Sealed Conveyors: Installed in coal trestles and transfer stations to eliminate dust
- Smart Control System: Integrated with the plant’s DCS for remote monitoring, auto-sequencing, and fault alerts
