Thickeners are suitable for dewatering concentrates and tailings in mineral processing plants. They are widely used in the treatment of sludge, wastewater, and waste residue in the metallurgical, mining, coal, chemical, building materials, and environmental protection sectors. They are crucial for improving return water utilization, improving underflow concentration, and protecting the environment. Thickeners are not simply sedimentation equipment, but rather a new type of dewatering equipment that incorporates the filtration properties of the slurry layer.

Thickeners are categorized into central drive thickeners, peripheral drive thickeners, sludge thickeners, batch thickeners, and vertical and radial flow continuous thickeners.
